Scholarship Support For Obaagun Students - Disbursement Held On Friday 14 November 2025

Friday 14 November 2025 was a special day at Raphat College of Education, Obaagun. The school, together with the Obaagun Town Gown Committee, held the official disbursement of the funds donated by good people of Obaagun for the Alhaji Wahab Tuition Free Scholarship. The aim was to support the new applicants from Obaagun for the 2025/2026 academic session and ease their financial stress.
The Town Gown Committee, led by Hon. Moshood Makanjuola (Chairman), worked hard to make this programme a success. Other members present were Imam Nabeel Shittu Olanrewaju, Alhaji Lawal Dauda Abimbola, Mr Adediran Lukman, Prince Mutiu Adedeji Badeji, Imam Makanjuola Muhammad, Prince Adebisi Isiaka, Prince Aminu Olaniyi, Mr Hamzat Musa, and Mr Adegoke Ridwan. Their effort brought the school and the community together in a good way.
A total of ₦850,000 was donated by respected sons and daughters of Obaagun:
Chief Jagun Makanjuola - ₦100,000
Prince Ayodele Francis - ₦50,000
Dr. Jimoh Lukman Atoba - ₦100,000
Alhaji Alade Olutoye (Raladex) - ₦100,000
Alhaji Olayide Anuoliwapo Idowu - ₦50,000
Chief Olusola Akingbade, the New Sarumi of Obaagun Land - ₦50,000
Alhaji Jamiu Abiola Adegoke - ₦50,000
Alhaji Dr. Almaruf Yinka Ajibolu - ₦100,000
Prof. AbdulRasheed Babalola - ₦50,000
Hon. Fausat Jimoh Atobatele - ₦50,000
All Town Gown Committee Members - ₦50,000
Sheikh Jabiru Shittu Gaothu Shabaab - ₦50,000
Chief Mrs Mariam Bolanle Olaniyi, the Yeyemofin of Obaagun Land - ₦50,000
From this money, 25 students benefited, each receiving ₦35,000. Many of the students expressed joy and relief, because the support came at the right time. Education is tough when money is tight, so this assistance made a real difference.
The college appreciates every donor for standing by the vision of community support and youth development. This programme showed how powerful it is when a town and its college work hand in hand. It was a simple event, but the impact on the students will last long.
