The host community is an ancient town of Yoruba land and it is one of the few most ancient towns of Yoruba of the Republic of Nigeria.
Obaagun has a large expanse of land which encompasses Ifelodun Local Government Area, Ifelodun North Local Council Development Area, part of Ifelodun Area Council, and part of Boripe North Local Council Development Area of Osun State.
The entire Obaagun land is located in the North-East of Osun State and in Latitude 7 degree 50ft North of Equator and Longitude 4 degree 40ft East of Greenwich Meridian. It is found in the tropical rain forest of Southern Nigeria.
Obaagun old and traditional built-up area is located in a valley surrounded by many hills among which are Gbogi-gboole hill, Aofe hill, Igbolamu hill, Oloti hill, Aye hill, Afun hill, Asia hill and Aagbamodi hill.
